Jetstream 32 Air Charter Information

The Jetstream 32 charter jet is a popular twin-engine turboprop aircraft for chartering a group of business executives to and from out-of-town meetings. With its 25-foot-long cabin and a private aft lavatory, the Jetstream 32 private jet charter delivers its passengers on time and in total comfort. While it can accommodate up to 19 passengers in a commuter configuration, many corporate travelers prefer the 10- and 12-passenger executive seating arrangements. These options allow for maximum comfort for everyone on board. Additionally, it gives greater flexibility for flight planning and enables a greater baggage allowance. Due to the Jetstream 32’s 2,000-pound payload, you won’t have to worry about packing too much. There is even an option for an additional belly pod, capable of carrying more 435 pounds of baggage. It’s perfect for recreational travelers, such as:

  • Golfers
  • Hunters
  • Skiers

In its 19-seat configuration, the aircraft features:

  • Two seats on the right side of the aircraft
  • Single seats on the left side
  • Offset center aisle

Even in this format, it’s quite roomy. It features nearly six feet of standing room, as well as a six-foot cross section. In its executive arrangement, the comfortable leather seats are placed in a double-club setting.

Ideal for Short-range Executive Transport

While the Jetstream 32 can transport a full complement of 19 passengers 380 nautical miles, it can go up to 1,00 nm with lighter loads. This makes it ideal for charter flights from New York to Washington D.C. The Jetstream, which is powered by a pair of Garrett TPE331-12 turboprop engines, has a high-speed cruise rate of 312 mph (standard cruise speed of 270 mph) and a maximum cruising altitude of 25,000 feet. These power plants are an upgrade of the original Jetstream 31. While the Jetstream 32 originally served as a short-range airliner, it has found a niche in private aviation as a corporate transporter. One of the key benefits of the Jetstream 32 is the margin of safety it provides. Given its origins as a commuter airliner, this aircraft is built to airline standards. This includes:

  • System redundancy throughout the aircraft
  • More substantial built quality compared to class competitors

The origin of the Jetstream 32 dates back to the 1960s, when it was known as the Handley Page HP.137 Jetstream. Back then, it was intended to be a 12-seater. Scottish Aviation took control of the program from Handley Page, which then became part of the nationalized entity we now know as British Aerospace. The Jetstream 32’s predecessor, the model 31, began production in 1982. Originally dubbed the Super 31, the Jetstream 32 entered production in 1988. In total, BAe delivered more than 400 31/32s by the time production ceased in 1993. With more than 130 of these twin turboprops still flying today—both as charter planes and regional airliners—British Aerospace received EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) approval for a Life Extension Programme. This will allow operators to extend the useful service of these charter aircraft well into the future, while maintaining an consistently high level of air charter safety.
