Information for Jetstream 41 Private Jet Charters
Versatility and economy are two of the primary features air travelers expect from Jetstream 41 private jet charters. Developed by British Aerospace in the early 1990s, the Jetstream 41 twin-engine turboprop is basically a stretched version of the tried-and-tested Jetstream 31 platform. This cabin extension boosts the maximum passenger capacity from 19 up to 30. However, this is where the versatility comes into play. Jetstream 41 private jet charters are available in multiple seating densities, including:
- 10-person VIP layout
- 16-person executive configuration
- 29- or 30-person commuter airline
In the latter arrangement, the Jetstream competes well against similar 30-seat turboprop airlines such as the:
- Embraer Brasilia
- Saab 340
- Dornier 328
To accommodate the longer aluminum alloy fuselage—they nearly doubled it to a total of 31.4 feet—British Aerospace was forced to make several other alterations. This included lengthening the wingspan and positioning the wing below the fuselage so that it wouldn’t interfere with the cabin aisle (unlike the Jetstream 31). Another advantage of the new wing placement was that it gave the Jetstream 41 more efficient luggage capacity. It has a storage limit of 170 cubic feet. That means there’s substantial baggage space, even when you’re using this aircraft in its commuter airliner configuration.
Quiet, Comfortable Cabin Environment
Additionally, due to the increased distance between the fuselage and the turboprops, the Jetstream 41 is also quieter than its predecessor, even though the engines are substantially bigger. Many owners also opted to install an optional active noise suppression system. Whether you’re a business traveller who needs to remain productive while flying, or you just want some peace and quiet during the trip, the Jetstream 41 delivers. Powering the Jetstream 41 is a pair of Allied Signal TPE331−14 turboprop engines. Each one delivers 1,500 shaft-horsepower to a pair of five-blade McAuley propellers. Later engine upgrades in 1994 resulted in an all-around increase to performance, including improved:
- MTOW
- Payload
- Range
As it is, the Jetstream 41 isn’t going to win any races. But that’s not what this aircraft is about. It manages a respectable maximum cruise speed of 339 mph, and an economical cruise speed of 299 mph. And with a range of 744 nautical miles, it’s perfectly suitable for regional corporate travel.
