If you want to travel way, way, way back in time, make sure to stop by the Dry Mesa Dinosaur Quarry. Over a dozen dinosaur fossils have been discovered here. Located on the Uncompahgre Plateau the area also offers numerous hiking trails.
And of course, one can’t visit Colorado without getting some time on the slopes. Powderhorn Mountain offers skiers and snowboarders of all ages groomed trails to ride on.
