The pilot in command of the aircraft must have at least 3,000 hours of aviation flight experience (double the FAA requirement), an ATP pilot rating (the highest achievable), and a minimum of 250 flight hours in the type of aircraft to be flown. This program also demands that first officer (second pilot) has at least 1,500 hours of aviation flight experience. Finally, the pilots are required to participate in annual recurrent training.

In addition to ensuring highly experienced crew requirements, the Air Carrier Due Diligence Program holds charter aircraft to strict maintenance standards that exceed FAA regulations.
