If you happen to encounter rain during your stay, don’t worry. The Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts will likely have a show to hold you over. The 600-seat state-of-the-art theater entertains and educates more than 22,000 people each year. You’ll find world-class artists, like The Bellamy Brothers, Jane Lynch, Kate Flannery and the Zoppe Italian Family Circus, to name a few.
When the sun comes back out, head over to the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, lovingly touted as “Arizona’s Most Western Museum.” This awe-inspiring museum is home to more than 400 works of Western art and so much more. You’ll even find an “Out on the Ranch” interactive exhibit that’s a hit with children of all ages. Once you’re done touring the city, be sure to visit the Cultural Crossroads Learning Center next door.
For a trip back in time, plan to spend some time at Frontier Street. Here you’ll see buildings dating back to the early 1900s, including a restored depot that’s nearly 2,000 years old. Frontier Street is also home to the Historic Railroad Engine and Caboose, which was manufactured in 1890.
