The Hotel Bothwell is home to Rags, named after the King of Ragtime, Scott Joplin, who is honored every year at the local Ragtime music festival. The prestigious hotel hosted presidents and movie stars since it opened in 1927.
Katsey Jones welcomes visitors to the popular Katy Depot. Recently restored, the depot is the official visitors bureau, as well as the entry to the Katy Trail State Park. Exhibits inside the depot give information about the depot’s past, the trains that once ran through the station, and a kids’ activity area where children can pretend to be train engineers and sell tickets.
