It’s also fondly referred to as “The Spirit on the Lake.” No matter which moniker you choose to adopt, you’ll find yourself faced with endless activities when you soar into the jet charter airport in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
One of the most popular spots to explore is the Kohler-Andrae State Park, which is actually two state parks combined. Spanning five separate buildings, the museum explores and exhibits everything from its maritime history to its Native American roots. Save some time at the end of the day to stop in at the Above and Beyond Children’s Museum if you have younger travelers in tow. There’s even a 1900s schoolhouse to see.
If you don’t have a rental vehicle at your disposal during your stay, you may want to consider renting one. Highway 42 is one of the most iconic drives in the country. You can choose to cruise a portion of it or the entire 138 miles. The winding highway offers stunning scenery all year round, but it’s especially stunning during the fall.
