Cessna Citation S/II business jets continue the storied tradition of Cessna’s no-nonsense approach to private jet design.
American-based Cessna has always taken a pragmatic approach to building its popular line of Citation business jets. Their philosophy is to build private jets that are:
- Easy to operate
- Comfortable to fly in
- Economical to fly and maintain
- Based on clean, simple systems
At Stratos Jets, we always receive positive reviews from clients who use them for corporate air travel.
The Citation S/II (or Super II) light jet is an enhancement of the Citation II, which happens to be Cessna’s best-selling private plane of all time. So how did they improve on something that was already a proven winner? By using computer-aided design, they were able to provide S/II business jets with improved aerodynamics and lower drag.
Coupled with upgraded Pratt & Whitney JT15D-4B turbo fans, the S/II can carry more and fly faster than its predecessor.
Featuring an enclosed cabin that can seat up to eight passengers, the Citation S/II boasts a range of 1,998 nautical miles. These business jets have the ability to provide non-stop air charter services from places like:
- Van Nuys to Seattle
- New York to Miami or Dallas
- Atlanta to Boston
The Citation S/II also has a cruise speed of 464mph, which is handy for business executives who need to travel places in a hurry. And like the Citation II, the S/II climbs to cruise altitude at just over 3,000 feet per minute, and has a maximum service ceiling of 43,000 feet. This offers pilots plenty of leeway when travelling in turbulent conditions.
Like all Citations, the Super II was designed with pilots in mind. Favored for its straightforward design, the cockpit is well thought out and features simple flight systems and great visibility. It can also be flown by a single pilot, which opens up more options for flight planning and also reduces flight costs.
As a sign of its reliability, the Citation S/II is certified under FAR Part 25 airworthiness standards.
