There are three main airports for private aircraft and travelers visiting Austin.

1. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is located only five miles southeast of downtown. This convenient location makes AUS a popular destination for private travelers en route to Austin, despite the airport also servicing scheduled flights from several major airlines. As an international airport, AUS offers 24-7 customs services through its U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility.

2. Austin Executive Airport (EDC) is situated 12 miles northeast of downtown Austin. As an executive airport, EDC only offers private jet service, making for a quiet and exclusive aviation experience without the traffic of AUS. Austin Executive Airport, however, does not offer customs services.

3. San Marcos Regional Airport (HYI) is located 35 miles south of downtown Austin. However, despite its distance from the city center, HYI remains a popular choice for private fliers as the airport does not service scheduled flights. San Marcos Regional Airport is a good alternative for travelers who prefer a smaller and more personalized airport experience, though HYI does not offer customs services.

I have worked with quite a few different charter companies over the years and Stratos Jets has been the easiest to work with. I always work with Kerry Hill because she very professional, friendly, and is just down right awesome at her job. I often need last minute trips for my boss and she always gets back to me quickly regardless of what time of day it is. I truely feel she goes above and beyond to make sure every aspect of the trip runs smoothly and everyone is happy. I can't say enough about how much stress is taken out of booking these flights because I know Stratos and Kerry have everything I need covered.

With our family of 8 we we flew with speed and comfort from a blizzard ridden north to Florida. Commercial airports were still dealing with cancelled flights and major delays...we felt very fortunate.

The aircraft was fine except for the AC. It either had to be run a full blast (we were wrapped up in blankets) or it had to be off in which case we were very hot.

Service and attention was excellant. Little disapointed in the interior room. Very cramped.It would be OK for a very short flight but longer than 1 hour would need more interior room with adquate bathroom facitlies.

We were very disappointed in the catering service. The lobster was undercooked and the sevruga caviar we ordered turned out to be lumpfish. Which we did not eat. We intended to take all the food to our home with the lobster, which we were going to cook to make it suitable to eat, but when we arrived home discovered that our food had not been unloaded from the plane. The only thing we ate on the plane was a small piece of the lobster.

Pilot did a terrible job of synchronizing the engines. It was bad enough at one point that the two guest passengers were worried we would need an emergency landing. I have flown on Hawkers for 15 years now and never had that experience. Crew was very nice, but the pilot needs some instruction. It was very disconcerting.

Kyle was very nice and helpful, he made sure everything was in order and ready to go from beginning to end, really great costumer service. Aircraft was nice, well kept LearJet 40. Pilots Matthew and Jonathan were total sweethearts and very experienced, landing was beyond smooth. Only thing we weren’t so happy about was the fact that you could see some of the wear and tear of the years on the inside of the plane. Overall great experience!

The flight itself was fine. Glenn was in communication with me frequently but shortly before my flight the Tail Number changed to a new plane and I was not given a new itinerary with the correct arrival point. We flew into Modern Aviation but I expected to be a Hawthorne Aviation. My ride was at the wrong location and I had to adjust that myself after landing. She was livid at the lack of notification on the change. It wasn't a pleasant ride home.

Our crew on the ground and in the air were excellent to the point that I learned from them. We went in to a 30 knot crosswind and drove all the way down to the runway quickly, no drifting or swaying. The landing was flawless and we all felt very safe. The plane was clean and well maintained. The refreshments were perfect. The process around booking travel was easy and unobtrusive. Thanks!!!

Joel and Stratos are amazing! He made sure our flight was tailored perfectly and was very responsive and always available for contact. They catered specifically to our needs with late notice. The pilots were fantastic and patient, especially considering we had three animals and arrived 10 minutes before take-off. They provided the smoothest flight in the Hawker we’ve ever taken. Stratos offered transportation to and from; the boarding process was welcoming and convenient. We will only fly privately with Stratos Jets through Joel and his team. Thank you guys for everything!

Stratos responded to our request for a flight to leave Anguilla before the flights in and out were stopped. We called Thursday night for a flight on Friday (borders closed at midnight Friday). Response was great ! All aspects ...the agent (Glen) kept in constant contact making sure of all the details with constant updates. The pilots ...Brian and Richard were great...real pros and very friendly. Made sure our flight was comfortable and safe.
