Harbor Springs Jet Charter Information
Lake Michigan is one of the three ‘Great Lakes,’ and Harbor Springs is on the north shore of sheltered Little Traverse Bay, in Emmet County in the state of Michigan. It is known historically for its summer resorts and an architecturally interesting hexagonally shaped house built in 1892 by an earlier inhabitant, designer of the Shay locomotive, Ephraim Shay (1830-1916). Before it was known as Harbor Springs, the little bay within a bay was called, L’Arbre de Croche, or ‘Crooked Tree’ by French Catholic Jesuits who started a mission to serve the Odawa people. Later, French traders renamed it Petit Traverse (Little Traverse), and in 1880 it was incorporated as a village and received its current name of Harbor Springs. Year round, its roughly 1,200 inhabitants experience average summer temperatures in the high 70s Fahrenheit and average winter temperatures hover around 10 degrees and occasionally go below freezing.

This trip was to return home from our 5.5 month winter sojourn in Florida. We had planned everything around this return date. Our cars had been shipped home that day. We had run down all the food. The cancellation occurred when we were out for dinner the night before the planned trip. We therefore did not find out about it until about 10pm. Anthony did a good job of helping with the recovery over the next hour. He responded instantly to almost every email. Unfortunately, because everything for ourselves and our fellow passengers had been planned around leaving on that particular day, we were very limited in our selection of recovery flights. As a result we paid an extra $7k+. Once that was settled and I had figured out how to get the extra money to you quickly enough, things went smoothly. When the flight was first booked (months ago) I had expressed some discomfort with the fact that the plane operator was so small and seemed to be focused on another business model. Anthony said that he had great experience with them and their reliability. It was unfortunate that my concerns turned out to be correct. As things have turned out, it now seems to me that I should be booking my flights right at the last minute, not rely on leaving on a certain date and, perhaps, even trying to catch an empty leg.

Everything was lovely, no hiccups. One piece of advice, when travelling to Turks and Caicos, make sure you have a clear address for your destination. The customs officer held us for twenty-five minutes trying to figure out where we were staying. That was a little frustrating, but it all worked out. We will most definitely use Stratos for our next trip.

The company I represent was in a crisis situation where we needed to get halfway across the country within a matter of hours. The only available commercial flight was sold out and nothing would get us there in time. After doing some research, I found Stratos Jet Charters and called Joel at around 7 in the morning. He answered right away and were at the airport two hours later. Our flight from Eagle,CO to Santa Barbara was a huge time saver for us. The Hawker 400XP was small but mighty. The inside was nicely appointed and clean. Thanks to the talented pilot and co-pilot, our flight was smooth and non-eventful. What more could you ask for?
