A city for those who love to stroll through history, the site that is now Madrid has been inhabited since prehistoric days. Archaeological finds are still being excavated along the banks of the River Manzanares today and ruins date as far back as the Roman Empire. One of Madrid's most
significant features is the Golden Triangle of Art, which is made up of three prestigious art museums — Prado Museum, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. Found along the Paseo del Prado, all three buildings contain an extensive collection of both historic and modern art samples from among every major genre. Visitors can also take a tour of one of Europe’s largest castles, the Royal Palace of Madrid, which is the official residence of the Spanish royal family that is now used for state occasions. The 18th century ridge-top palace features a throne room and a significant number of Goya paintings as well as other antiques and artworks. Next door is the Renaissance-era Convent of Las Descalzas Reales, which also holds a magnificent collection of art. Located in the heart of Madrid is the St. Jerome the Royal church, an example of Gothic architecture from the early 16th century. The remaining structure of a Hieronymite monastery, it has undergone numerous restorations over the years. Continue your stroll to the Parque del Buen Retiro , a 19th century park with a boating lake, rose garden, fountains and statues. Stop for a bite and a refreshing glass of cava at Plaza Major, Madrid’s vibrant main square that features a statue of Phillip III, Plaza de Cibeles, or Puerto del Sol, a vast pedestrianized public square, which are lined with cafés, tapas bars, fine dining restaurants and shops. I wasn’t able to do the survey that is being done by google as I don’t have a google email and don’t want to set up another email account to be spammed to death. However, if I could have done the survey, I would have given Stratos Jets very high remarks and the reason would be because of the dealings I have with Kerry Hill. As I believe I told you when we met at the S&D last year, Kerry is the best and most considerate person I have ever dealt with from a Charter company. Not only her flight following in which she keeps me posted on everything from beginning to end but also her attention to all the other details for the reservation such as needs of transportation for passengers, insuring that the catering is ordered and delivered. She takes a lot of the weight and stress of my shoulders. If ever I have a question, she is quick to get me the answers I need. In my opinion, she is a very valuable asset to your company.

The entire experience from beginning to end was “top flight”. My agent, Steve Stogner was extremely patient, diligent-to-a-fault and unyielding in his efforts to provide us with great service and prioritization of our safety, notwithstanding some difficulties with the inclement weather conditions and cell phone communication challenges due to our location in a remote wilderness area of the mountainous Northern Georgia Chatahoochie National Forest. I spent 5 hours waiting for my Delta flight at the Nantucket airport Sunday afternoon. They ended up canceling my flight at 6:30pm. The Delta agent informed me that the earliest flight I could get would be sometime on Tuesday. I had a dinner Monday night and an extremely important meeting on Tuesday in Indianapolis. I could not miss either the dinner or the meeting. I texted Anthony at 6:30pm on Sunday night asking if he could help me get to Indy by 5pm the next day. He and his team went into action and we secured a flight at a decent price that night. Everything went well and I was able to make my dinner and meeting.

Stratos responded to our request for a flight to leave Anguilla before the flights in and out were stopped. We called Thursday night for a flight on Friday (borders closed at midnight Friday). My experience with Joel and his team a Stratos was great! We had a little wrinkle in our trip when we were diverted from our destination to another airport. It had nothing to do with our flight. There was a disabled plan on the runway. We diverted to the other airport and waited briefly for word on when it would clear. Joel and his team were all over it. They had alternate transportation lined up for us, which, we didn't end up using and ultimately got back on the plane and went to our intended destination. There were no extra charges and we only lost about an hour. Our return trip was fast and uneventful. Stratos helped us find the right plane for our trip and kept us within our budget. Eastern Air Services (crew and plane) were wonderful. Stratos micro obsession with baggage and weights was beyond logical and anything that I had ever experienced in prior charters. Turned out there was PLENTY of room in cargo for additional baggage and that my guests were no where near any weight limitation. The only reason I tolerated the craziness was the price differential.
