Steamboat Springs Jet Charter Information
Early trappers to the area in Colorado heard a “chugging sound,” and they thought they heard a steamboat coming up the river. When they went to investigate, they discovered that the sound they heard was actually coming from natural hot springs. Because of this, they decided to call this place Steamboat Springs. Rivers, mountains and beautiful wild terrain welcome visitors year round; however, Steamboat Springs is internationally renowned for its Rocky Mountains and skiing resorts. For a long time, because the winters were severe, skiing was the only mode of transportation through the Rockies. It stands to reason that the town developed around winter activities, eventually becoming home to Steamboat Ski Resort and the Howelsen Hill Ski area. While winter temperatures average around 2 degrees Fahrenheit, summer highs in the 80s are lovely for hiking and cycling through some of the world’s most beautiful outdoor landscapes and rafting rapids through breathtaking valleys. The towns’ nearly 13,000 inhabitants will agree that they are spoiled with all the natural beauty.

As always, your staff is a pleasure to work with, and are very good with their communication, etc. I (of course) wish we didn't have the snafu with your client cutting the trip short, only to change his mind - costing us an additional 3 hours of flight time (approx. $10,000) - since we cancelled a trip with another operator to accommodate his request to leave early. I think there should have been a consideration for a 2 hour cancellation fee or something there. We understand that this wasn't Stratos Jets' doing - but I believe your client should have been penalized in some way as he was informed we had another trip and he told us to cancel it to accommodate him. This was very disappointing (and financially detrimental) for us, especially as we had lowered the cost of the trip (in addition to removing all minimums) prior to booking. The only way it made sense for us to do that was to fly while sitting transient.

Eastern Air Services (crew and plane) were wonderful. Stratos micro obsession with baggage and weights was beyond logical and anything that I had ever experienced in prior charters. Turned out there was PLENTY of room in cargo for additional baggage and that my guests were no where near any weight limitation. The only reason I tolerated the craziness was the price differential. My experience with Joel and his team a Stratos was great! We had a little wrinkle in our trip when we were diverted from our destination to another airport. It had nothing to do with our flight. There was a disabled plan on the runway. We diverted to the other airport and waited briefly for word on when it would clear. Joel and his team were all over it. They had alternate transportation lined up for us, which, we didn't end up using and ultimately got back on the plane and went to our intended destination. There were no extra charges and we only lost about an hour. Our return trip was fast and uneventful. Stratos helped us find the right plane for our trip and kept us within our budget. Thanks Joel and team!
