Originally founded as a sugar plantation town in the ‘50s, the city is home to the headquarters for Imperial Sugar and was once home to its main refinery and distribution center. The Imperial Sugar logo can be found on the city’s seal and logo. CVR Energy, Inc. is another important corporation whose headquarters are based out of Sugar Land, along with Western Airways and Nalco’s Energy Services. Outlook Magazine and Texas Business Magazine repeatedly rank the city as a “Top City to Live” in America, as well as giving it the title of one of the “Top Cities in Texas” for business relocation and expansion. As of December, 2017, the neighboring communities of Greatwood and New Territory have officially become part of the city of Sugar Land, increasing the city’s population and land base.

Everything was first class even though we not only left one of our bags on the plane but lost a wallet on the return trip (not on the plane), Matt Machokas was very helpful in assisting us in helping to resolve our problems. All pilots were great. Matt also arranged a flight for us because of a date issue I made with the return flight.
