I wasn’t able to do the survey that is being done by google as I don’t have a google email and don’t want to set up another email account to be spammed to death. However, if I could have done the survey, I would have given Stratos Jets very high remarks and the reason would be because of the dealings I have with Kerry Hill.  As I believe I told you when we met at the S&D last year, Kerry is the best and most considerate person I have ever dealt with from a Charter company.  Not only her flight following in which she keeps me posted on everything from beginning to end but also her attention to all the other details for the reservation such as needs of transportation for passengers, insuring that the catering is ordered and delivered.  She takes a lot of the weight and stress of my shoulders.  If ever I have a question, she is quick to get me the answers I need. In my opinion, she is a very valuable asset to your company.

Stratos helped us make an amazing memory … I flew my elderly parents (90+ years old) from SC to PA for the day to spend time with our entire family. Good experience, although your emails sometimes look more as a marketing email than an itinerary revision. Still getting used to the sales force platform, but if I may give you guys a feed back, try to avoid too many colors and pictures on the email as they sometimes look like marketing/sales email then important information about the trip. That's my 2 cents.

Our crew on the ground and in the air were excellent to the point that I learned from them. We went in to a 30 knot crosswind and drove all the way down to the runway quickly, no drifting or swaying. Glenn and his team at Stratos were amazing. Unfortunately, the operator provided last minute communication of a delay that caused problems on the arriving end of the flight. The operator was aware of the delay the night before and failed to inform Glenn (and in turn, me). The drive from the San Jose, CR airport to my final destination was incredibly dangerous due to my having to drive at night. The stress of travel was significant to begin with. The poor communication and the delay into the final destination caused another whole level of stress which is understood when you travel commercially, but not when you spend $17K on a private jet charter.

I did have a good experience dealing with the charter staff. The only suggestion I can make would be that when sending revised itineraries or updated information is that somehow you reference what is new or updated info. Either in the email or by highlighting the NEW info. Thank you for using Oak Air.

At last minute's notice I needed to find a private plane to get my elderly parents from Bangor, Maine to Atlanta. I googled charter companies and Stratos Charters was first to pop up. I called immediately and Joel (founder and president of company) answered. He could not have been more gracious and helpful. He was the perfect combination of professional and personable. Our charter was arranged and the trip went through seamlessly. Stratos Charter and Joel made a stressful situation into a very pleasant one for us. Kyle immediately answered the phone when I called, after normal work hours, needing a plane the next morning. He worked with me for hours to find the right plane. I flew out the next morning at 9am. Kyle followed along with both that flight as well as the return the next day to make sure everything was fine. As far as I can tell the flight was great. My nephew, his wife and their dog flew from California to Guam for a move. The airport they flew from was changed the day prior to departure due to weather. The catering however didn't make it to the airport so they were on the plane for 15 hours with only the complimentary snacks and the crew shared some of their food with them. When you fly private you expect things to go smoothly...that's why you're willing to pay the extremely high price for. In my opinion there were opportunities missed to make it right. Since they had to refuel in Hawaii there was at least 6 hours to get some kind of catering for them when they landed in Hawaii. I realize that catering needs 24 hours notice but someone couldn't gone above and beyond to make things right and get them fresh fruit and veggie platter with a plain hot pizza or something to give them something other than snacks. I know if the CEO of Stratos was flying this catering issue would've been unacceptable.

Carol - Thank you for bringing this to my attention and you are certainly right.  The ball was dropped.  I have spoken with the private flight advisor regarding the matter and our day of flight process was not followed.  Not having something ready in Hawaii during the fuel-stop is truly a missed opportunity.  I am truly sorry for our misstep and the poor experience this must have been for your nephew and his family.
